The traditional art of rock and stone arrangement for artificial hills is an essential element for the cultivation of undergraduate talents in environmental design and landscape architecture. This virtual simulation experiment feeds back to teaching based on research achievements. Through the simulation of traditional rock and stone arrangements and processes, and by applying the experimental concept of integrating skills, diversified and progressive teaching and evaluation methods, students can understand the relevant knowledge of Chinese classical gardens, become familiar with the design process of traditional artificial hills, master the design methods and construction skills of traditional artificial hills, and train their professional qualities and abilities to solve complex engineering problems.
